Terms of Service for Youth Access Card by GekoPay

1. Introduction


Welcome to Youth Access Card, a digital wallet platform created by gekopay and designed to connect youth in Cameroon with accredited financial institutions and services through a single, user-friendly interface. 

Our mission is to promote financial inclusion and empower users to achieve financial success through accessible tools for money management, peer-to-peer (P2P) transfers, savings, investments, and lending at affordable rates.

By accessing or using the Youth Access Card website, mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Definitions

- “User”: Any individual who accesses or uses the Youth Access Card Service.
- “You/Your”: Refers to the User entering into this agreement with Youth Access Card.
- “We/Us/Our”: Refers to Youth Access Card and its affiliates.
- “Platform”: The Youth Access Card website, mobile application, and all related digital interfaces.
- “Digital Wallet”: A virtual account allowing Users to store, send, receive, invest, and manage funds.
- “Financial Institution(s)”: Accredited banks, microfinance institutions, insurance companies, and other financial entities partnered with Youth Access Card.

3. Eligibility

To use Youth Access Card, you must:

- Be a resident of Cameroon.
- Be at least 16 years old (or have parental/guardian consent if under 18).
- Provide accurate and complete personal information during registration.
- Have access to a valid mobile number and email address.

By registering, you confirm that you meet these requirements and are authorized to enter into legally binding agreements.

4. Account Registration and Security
4.1 Registration
To create an account, you must provide:

- Full legal name
- Valid phone number
- Email address
- Government-issued ID (e.g., National ID, Passport, Driver’s License)
- Proof of residence (if required)

4.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4.3 KYC & AML Compliance
Youth Access Card complies with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. You may be required to provide additional documentation or information at any time.

5. Use of the Service


Youth Access Card allows Users to:

- Create and manage a digital wallet.
- Send and receive money (P2P transfers).
- Save and invest funds through partner institutions.
- Apply for loans from accredited lenders.
- Access financial education tools and budgeting features.
- Link bank accounts or mobile money wallets.

You agree not to:

- Use the Service for illegal or fraudulent purposes.
- Attempt to bypass security measures or interfere with the Platform.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
- Share your account with others or allow unauthorized access.

6. Fees and Charges


All fees associated with transactions on Youth Access Card will be clearly disclosed before transaction confirmation. These may include:

- P2P transfer fees
- Withdrawal and deposit fees
- Loan origination or interest charges
- Investment advisory fees (if applicable)

Fees may vary based on service providers, transaction types, and promotions. GekoPay reserves the right to update fee schedules with prior notice.

7. Transactions and Funds
7.1 Peer-to-Peer Transfers
Users can send money instantly to other registered Youth Access Card users. Recipients must verify their identity to claim large amounts.

7.2 Savings and Investments
Savings and investment options are offered in partnership with accredited institutions. Returns, risks, and terms are governed by the respective institution’s policies.

7.3 Loans and Credit
Loan applications are subject to credit checks and approval by our partner lenders. Interest rates, repayment terms, and eligibility criteria will be disclosed upfront.

7.4 Dispute Resolution
If you believe there has been an error or unauthorized transaction, contact support within 24 hours. We will investigate and respond within 3 business days.

8. Intellectual Property


All content, trademarks, logos, software, and design elements on the Youth Access Card Platform are the property of Youth Access Card or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of the Platform without written permission.

9. Privacy Policy


Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy terms, which governs how we collect, use, and disclose personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

- You violate these Terms.
- You engage in fraudulent or suspicious activity.
- You fail to comply with KYC/AML requirements.
- Your account remains inactive for more than 12 months.

You may delete your account at any time via the app settings, but outstanding obligations (e.g., loan repayments) must be settled before full closure.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Youth Access Card shall not be liable for:

- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Loss of profits, data, or revenue.
- Delays or failures due to force majeure events or third-party services.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." While we strive for reliability, we make no warranties regarding uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution


These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Any disputes arising from the use of the Service shall be resolved through amicable negotiation, mediation, or arbitration in Yaounde, Cameroon.

13. Changes to These Terms


We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal obligations, or market conditions. Updates will be posted on the Platform with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
